I’ve been giving the Great Game some thought over the last week.
You’ll be glad to hear (I hope!) that I don’t want to just call it a day. Yes, some days it’s not easy to find the reserves to do an episode — I have fairly lively arthritis, and my body drains a lot of physical and mental energy in its on-going quest to eat itself — but it’s good fun to work on, and always an interesting challenge.
I’m in several minds on how to continue, however. Spool back a few places, to before it all went horribly wrong? Accept the consequences, and continue the story from the point of view of the copied characters in Sinclair’s nightmarish vault? Start an entirely new story, giving an easy place for (theoretical) new players to join in? They all have their advantages and disadvantages.
I’m still mulling it over, but I’d like to know what you think. Assuming any of you are still out there
Most episodes so far have had 15-20 voters, which means the Game isn’t exactly a runaway success. If any of you reading this have actually been lurking, please at least vote on this poll — it really helps.
I’ll leave this poll up for a week or so.
Thanks.
Tim.
(PS: If you want a new story within the same setting, please vote for an entirely new story!)
How would you like to see the Great Game continue?
- Begin an entirely new story. (56%)
- Rewind to before the catastrophic summoning. (25%)
- Just leap forward to a spot where Alice is now safe from impending doom and re-start on a different tack. (13%)
- Switch to the nightmare reality of Sinclair's copies. (Note: This is a _dark_ option, for a while at least) (6%)
- Just don't bother, that was enough. (0%)

I would be interested in either a completely new story, or exploring the game-reality from a new perspective.
I like the idea of going with Sinclair’s copies the most, since it is the most consistent option.
But I like the idea of continuiung to exploring the game reality, but possibly continuiing the story from a new perspective. Something like: a character who was relatively new to the game saw the newcomer with the pink eyes asking questions in the lobby, thought he/she could be a handy person to know, followed them around a bit to suss them out only to see them die horribly while spying on them from down the hall and then……
I missed participating in the polls for the last few episodes, but dang is that some good stuff. Looking forward as always to the next step. I too am up for a new tale in the same universe. Creepy as hell, but I expected no less.
